In the Afsluitdijk project of Rijkswaterstaat, I was involved as a machine safety consultant in the renovation of the discharge sluices and locks, as well as the new construction of a fish migration river, sluices, pumping stations and expansion of discharge capacity.
Amada Miyachi develops and produces high-precision welding and joining machines with lasers, welding heads and heat stacking. As a project manager I supervised the projects from design, planning and production to commissioning and delivery.
As project manager I managed the planning for design, construction and software development, maintenance and commissioning.
As a technical project manager for heavy lifting, I was a designer and supervisor. I designed and ordered the control cabinets and small electrical parts, and I managed the collaboration between purchasing, production and commissioning. Also I managed commissioning end service with a few engineers.
Through my years of experience with machines in infrastructure (bridges and locks), labeling machines, magnetic heavy lifting and welding and laser machines, I have built up extensive expertise in various techniques and industrial automation. And the safety for the operating personnel of your machines is always paramount.
What can you expect from me as a project manager?
A safe machine is not only the basis for a safe working environment, but is also required by law and regulations. A machine must comply with the Machine Products Regulation and bear a CE marking.
CE marking holds few secrets for me. With a practical and result-oriented approach I provide guidance and advice, with which you can issue the CE marking. For this I hold risk assessment sessions, where the right experts sit down at the table. The expertise of your employees and my expertise enable us to map out all occurring hazards.

With my expertise you have an advisor who guides the entire process, from risk assessment to the advice to sign the CE conformity document and CE marking of the machine.
A machine must be safe, but also workable. This sometimes requires electronic measures that reduce the risks. For example, a switch on an access hatch, or a light screen. We simply call these safety functions, but they can be complex. As a specialist in functional safety, I have the expertise to design and calculate these with the right reliability. I also provide reviews of your design documents and software.
As a project manager and an expert in machine safety, I have always contributed to the smooth and safe execution of projects. After years of working for various employers, I started the adventure of being self-employed. Through my experience with various machine builders and clients, I bring a wealth of experience in the field of people, technology and machine safety.
